we got some amazing wooden puppets during our trip this summer in java. they are now a part of the DC family. we will take some more photos with the rest of the cast in the coming weeks. the gentlemen in indonesia kept trying to sell us really pretty women puppets but we were only interested in the creepy looking men with messed up teeth and hair... hmmmm :/
lots of stuff cookin over here at DC. fall is looking like it's gonna be pretty busy. hope we can keep our cool like this guy. stay tuned for new projects!
Our senior year at SCAD we decided it would be a great idea to dress as alien housewives for Halloween. We stayed in the night before to prepare our costumes... we bought matching waitress dresses from the thrift store, sewed ourselves some metallic aprons, made little doodles for our hair... we got really prepared. We were super excited and thought we would surely be the hit of the night. The day of Halloween we took it a little too far and things turned for the worst.
plotting out another cross country drive... southwestern style!
let's make one of these giant dream catchers too.
Our roommate Dracula! This is the calmest he's ever been...
All I can think about today = assembly lines! What a great invention... we use them for just about all of our projects. We love repetition and multiples so it works out well for us. Doing the same thing over.and.over.and.over. is meditative and enjoyable. And it really gets the job done quickly!
We were using them a lot in our personal lives as well but we had to stop. We realized we looked crazy every morning when got our coffee and doctored it up in assembly fashion. Yikes!!!
